Instructions:
My card is 4 1/2  X 6.  Make card base and cover with a piece of red cardstock and then cut out a card front and glue that down as well.

Next using Sap Green ink stamp the dogwood flowers and then ink the centers of the flowers.  Use Bamboo Leaves Ink to stamp the leaves and then cut out using coordinating diees.  I used Aged Mahogany ink to color the tips of the flowers and then using the Flower Shaping Kit shape the petals and then add the prills to the centers.  Set aside to dry.
Now using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink stamp the doves and use the coordinating dies to cut out.  Use London Fog to shade the doves and add the glitter to the plumes.

When everything is dry, decide on your placement and glue everything to the card front.  Your card is finished.

Use your paper pack and cover the front, spine and back covers of the journal.  Also cover the insides of the front and  back  panels. I made the medallion on the front by using the Window Box Accents Die and then fussy cutting a piece of the paper collection.  Glue the two pieces together and add dimensional tape to the back to pop it up a bit.   Add all the decorations you want on the outside and then on the inside of the front cover I made a pocket so I could add more photos or other keep sakes.  Next pick out which pictures you want to showcase as well as the journal pages you want to use.  Now decide about the flowers you want to use.

When using the Foam paper for the roses, I stamped the petals and leaves with Timber Brown Stazon Ink and Memento Inks.  I colored the flowers with various Memento inks as well as Pan Pastels. Using the corresponding dies cut out the flowers and petals.  When I used the Foam paper I used the heat tool to warm the petals and leaves then I shaped and set aside.  When using regular card stock to stamp and cut out the sunflowers, petunias, dogwoods and leaves I used Rich Cocoa Memento Ink  and then I used the traditional flower shaping techniques and the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to shape everything.  You can refer to the video links to suggestions in the shaping of each flower.

Crop the photos (I used the Large Oval Dies and the Large Circle Dies for this) and decide on the placement and then glue down flowers and do the journal page about each person.  I chose Four Generations of Strong Christian Women in my Family for my journal.

Thanks for sticking with me until the end of this post!  I know the supply list is long but please don't be put off and not try one of these journals.  The end product is such a feeling of accomplishment!

This is one of my new embossing folders for this year; I actually just love it and had to showcase it with these cute little mittens!  Every year I try to purchase new embossing folders at this time so I can use them for the holidays!

Other Supplies:  White, Green and Mauve Cardstock, Scor-Tape

For tips on creating with the Wildwood Cottage Collection watch this video:  https://youtu.be/g8WLXE8hLRk

Instructions:  Using the mauve cardstock cut out the box die and the decorative panel in each side. I used Designer Dries Clear adhesive to adhere the decorative panels to the box. Next I chose a pretty piece of the paper collection and cut out the panels that are are at the top of the box.  Glue them down.   I used score-tape to hold the box together because of it’s strength.

Once you have the box put together it is time to stamp the leaves and flowers and get them ready to decorate the box.  I used Rosebud Memento Ink to stamp and color the flowers and Cottager Ivy Memento ink to stamp the leaves.  Once you use the dies to cut out the flowers and leaves it is time to shape them with the flower shaping kit.  Spray a bit of water onto the back side of the flower petals and leaves and use the stylus to burnish the back side of them.  Set aside to dry.

Once everything is dry, decide on the placement and glue everything down.  Your box is now ready to fill and give as a gift!

Instructions:

My card is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  Make the card base and then cut a piece of the paper collection to cover the front of the card.  Using the Rosebud Memento ink, stamp the Forever Love background stamp on the paper and glue down on the front of the card.  Next cut out the Eyelet die and glue this piece to the edge of the card front.  Hot glue the bling on a string down the edge of the eyelet piece for a bit of interest.
Next using the Rosebud ink, stamp the sentiment onto a piece of pink card stock.  Cut it out using the Sweetheart Border Dies.  Cut out a heart with the eyelet border using white cardstock.  Glue the pink heart to the white heart and then using dimensional tape, glue the heart to the front of the card.

Using Rich Cocoa Memento ink, stamp the flower petals and leaves.  Cut out with coordinating dies.  Color the centers of the flowers with New Sprout Memento Ink and do the edges of the petals with Rosebud ink.  The leaves are colored with New Sprout Memento ink and edged with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink.  Spray water on the back of the flowers and leaves and use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to shape.  When dry add the prills to the flower centers and set aside to dry.  Once dry you can decide on the placement for the flowers and leaves and glue down.

Follow along with this video to learn the step by step process to create elegant and easy handmade greeting cards to celebrate the loved ones in your life.
Instructions:

I started with a 4 1/2 X 9 piece of dark mauve cardstock and fold in half.  Lay your Eyelet Hearts die with the top peak of the heart  above the fold line.  Tape it down and run through your die cut machine.  Next using the same color cardstock cut out one of the hearts and then glue it over the folded heart piece.  Next I took the next smallest of the eyelet hearts and cut out a piece of white cardstock.  Then using the largest plain heart die cut out a piece of patterned paper and glue these two pieces together.  I used dimensional tape to glue it to the card front.
Next I stamped the banner with Aged Mahogany Distress ink and then I stamped the sentiment.  Use the corresponding die to cut out the banner.  Using Dimensional Tape glue it to the card front.
Using the Rich Cocoa Memento Ink, stamp the flower petals on a piece of the paper collection and the leaves on a piece of green cardstock. Using the corresponding dies cut out the flowers and leaves.  Color the center and the edges of the flowers with the Aged Mahogany ink, and use the Flower Shaping kit to shape the flowers and leaves. Decide where you want everything and glue down the leaves and flowers around the banner.  The card is finished.

Shape the Classic Rose an An Alternative Way.....

Good morning everyone.   I'm here this morning to show you how to make an alternative to a classic rose.  This is a technique I often use when I just want a different look.  Of course using Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies makes us all masters at flower making, so sit back and take a sip of your morning beverage and we will begin.

The flowers we are going to make are featured on the card below.  I think they make a very dramatic feature for a card.

The Heartfelt Creations products that will be used are: HCDP1-270 Classic Rose Paper Collection, HCPC-3752 Classic Rose Cling Stamps, HCD1-7110 Classic Rose Die, 3753  Classic Rose Vines Cling Stamp, HCD1-7111 Classic Rose Vines Die

Begin by stamping the leaves and flowers with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink onto the Mixed Media Paper.  This technique needs a very sturdy paper because it needs to be very wet in order to shape the petals.  Coloring the leaves with New Sprout Memento Ink before you cut them out enables you to get them colored quickly and without any damage to the leaves.  The new Stack and Store daubers are wonderful for adding color to areas of flower petals and leaves.

Next cut out the leaves and then go around the edges with Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink to give a bit more shading.

Tip:  If you find your paper is sticking in the die, try placing a piece of wax paper  between the die and the paper and then run it through your die cutting machine.

Stamp the rose petals with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and go ahead and cut them out before you begin to color.

It is always a good idea to stamp and cut out extra petals and leaves while you are into the cutting so you can have extras to play with the coloring.  Sometimes I’m very undecided about the colors I want to use.

Using one of the sponge daubers. add New Sprout Memento Ink to the center of the rose petals.

Using Pearleascent Coral Archival Ink color the edges of the rose petals and on the back side as well.

Spray the back side of the petals with water and use enough water to soak the paper so it will be pliable and easy to shape.  Use something like a skewer and wrap the edge of the petals round it and then using your fore finger and thumb, scrunch the petal together.  Allow it to dry, or if you are terribly impatient you can use the heat gun to dry the paper.

Next we are going to use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and do a bit more shaping on the flower petals.

Using one of the stylists and the foam mat run the tool down the center of each petal and then do a circular motion to the center of the petal.  This helps to give the petals a cupped appearance.

Now you are ready to glue the petals together.  I don’t have a set number of petals for each flower; just use enough until you can’t get any more to go down inside the others.

This flower has 6 petals in it and I think it looks quite full.

Using your stylus, burnish the backs of the leaves giving them dimension.

Another shot from the front side.

All the little curly ends look so pretty coming from behind the flower.

These are a very pretty alternative to the classic shaped rose.  Just add a few small flowers to the other flowers and leaves and you have a nice cluster of flowers.  Any card would be very happy to have these flowers and leaves gracing it’s front!

TSMP707 Bamboo Leaves Memento Ink
TSMP704 New Sprout Memento Ink

Other Products:  Cuttlebug Foundry Embossing Folder, Dandelion Memento Ink, White Cardstock, Orange Marmalade Distress Ink, Lily Pad Dew Drops, Dimensional Tape

My card is 5 X 7.  Make card base and then cut a piece of white cardstock a bit smaller and run it through your die cut machine with the embossing folder.  Glue it down to the front of the card.  Next cut a piece of the paper collection and edge around with Teal Zeal ink.  Glue it to the embossed panel.

Stamp, cut out and color the leaves and the airplane. Use dimensional tape to adhere the airplane at an angle like it is coming in for a landing.  Next stamp the sentiment, cut out and add glitter under the word journey.  I also glued a dew drop there for a bit of interest.  Use dimensional tape to adhere the sign to the card front and glue the leaves down around it.

Glue the dew drops to the bottom of the card.  Once everything is dry, the card is ready to go.  It has a bit of dimension but is well within the guidelines for mailing without extra postage.

If you would like some more inspiration head over to the
